Front and Rear Marriage Tooling

Some vehicle manufacturers assemble front and rear power train assemblies on separate tooling fixtures; others choose to install the complete power train on a single “skillet” or ‘”dogbone” (the front and rear driveshaft). We design and manufacture tooling for each of these configurations.

Leidos Industrial Engineers understands the need for flexibility in these systems and utilizes ”flipper” type supports that allow simple and fast changeover between power train types.

We also provide design-protected adaptive tooling and an “intelligent pallet” for mounting adaptive tools to provide our customers with “future-proofed” products and enable expanded use of adaptive tooling in assembly plants.
